Rae is a psychotherapist offering compassionate, collaborative support for your mental and emotional well-being. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, weight-inclusive and anti-oppressive approach to care.
She supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout, as well as relationship challenges, boundary-setting, and life transitions. Rae also works with individuals healing their relationship with food and body, including disordered eating and eating disorder recovery—holding space for this work with care, nuance, and deep respect for each person’s experience.
Rae’s approach is rooted in self-compassion and values-based living. She creates a space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns without judgment, and where you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Sessions are paced with intention, honouring your capacity and meeting you where you’re at.
She is committed to creating an inclusive space that affirms diverse identities, including 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and recognizes the broader systems that impact mental health and well-being.
Outside of her work, Rae is a big fan of horror movie, a dedicated Survivor watcher, an enthusiastic thrifter and up-cycler. She loves being near the water, caring for her houseplants, and spending time with her dog Daisy.
Atheana has been working in the field of dietetics for over 14 years, offering a compassionate, weight-inclusive and non-diet approach to care. Her work is grounded in self-compassion, a deeply client-centred philosophy, and both professional and lived experience.
She believes that weight is not a reliable measure of health or well-being, and that your relationship with food and your body deserves thoughtful, individualized care—not rigid plans or one-size-fits-all solutions.
Sessions with Atheana are collaborative and organic. There are no cookie-cutter methods here. Instead, she works with you to explore your unique story with food, body image, and health—moving at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable. Atheana does not position herself as the expert of your body; she believes you hold that expertise, whether for yourself or your child.
Her work often involves gently unpacking patterns, sitting with the hard parts, and getting to the root of what’s really going on—without judgment or pressure to “fix” yourself.
Outside of her work, Atheana is a mom of three, a lover of slow mornings, herbal tea, and time spent in nature. You’ll often find her kayaking on the lake, chasing after her kids, or holding space for restorative yoga in her studio, Fieldside Yoga.
