This recipe makes approximately 4 delicious burgers!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground turkey

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1/2 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp garlic powder

1/8 tsp sage

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hamburger burns

1 tbsp canola oil (if pan frying)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey and seasonings. Mix together until well combined.
  2. Shape mixture into 4 patties about 1/2 inch thick and set aside on a parchment-lined plate. TIP: If grilling, freeze the patties for 20 minutes to help them keep their shape and give them a crispier outer edge. If pan frying, skip this step.
  3. For grilling:

After freezing for 20 minutes, grill burgers for a few minutes on each side until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165F. If desired, place sliced cheddar on burgers and leave on grill until melted.

For pan frying:

In a large nonstick frying pan, heat the canola oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, cook the patties for about 5 minutes each side and until an internal temperature of 165F is reached. If desired, place sliced cheddar on burgers and cover pan until melted.!

  1. Garnish! Place cooked burgers in buns and get creative. Top with avocado slices, tomato, and other condiments as desired. Bon appétit!
