This classic holiday cheese ball will quickly become a party staple for the holidays! Creamy, dreamy, delicious, and super quick to make!
Can you believe it’s that time of year again? With the holidays being just days away, today I will be sharing one of my favourite family recipes and the traditions that bring me joy year after year. No need for stressing over what to bring to your family dinner- my mom’s holiday cheese ball recipe is here for you! Really- who can ever get enough of this classic dish?
My family traditions revolve around food- a love that brings us all together. I look forward to our family potlucks and appetizer dinners every year, with plentiful options of delicious choices to enjoy. This is what inspired my recipe to share with you: a parsley cheese ball.
A tradition I have had since I was little was waking up Christmas morning with a candy tray from Santa. Candy was always consumed before brunch that morning, starting the day off right! With 17 people in my immediate family, having a loud, fun and delicious turkey dinner at my parents in their dining room hold some of my best memories. And how can I forget the fun of watching everyone light up with excitement when opening up gifts? Do you have a favourite memory you want to share? Let me know what family traditions bring you joy in the comments below!
Now, let’s get to this recipe shall we!
INGREDIENTS:
8 oz Cream Cheese (Brick)
4 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 Tbsp Milk
2 Tbsp Grated Onion
2 Tbsp Worcester Sauce
1 Tsp of Fresh Chopped Garlic
1/4 Cup Parsley (Fresh is Preferred)
DIRECTIONS:
- Soften the cream cheese and mix all ingredients together except for the parsley.
- Once mixed well, use your hands and form into balls (larger or small ones as you prefer). If the mixture is too sticky and wet, add more shredded cheese.
- Finally, roll in parsley to cover the outside of the ball. Serve with an assortment of crackers. Enjoy!
I hope this holiday cheese ball recipe brings as much joy to you as it does to me and my family. Wishing a Happy Holiday and joyful New Year to you and your loved ones!
